Sara Berry, Director Equissage Texas

Sara holds a Masters degree from Edinburgh University, Scotland, and did her postgraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Sara is an experienced educator, having taught at the University of Texas at San Antonio and at the University of Texas at Austin. She was personally trained and certified as an Equissage Instructor by Mary Schreiber, the founder of Equissage, and in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine-Assisted Learning by Greg Kersten, the founder of EAGALA (the Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association) and the OK Corral Series in Equine Psychology.

Sara is the Director of InCAh, The International Center for Anthrohippology, founded to advance the study of the Human/Horse Bond and to unite currently diverse, non-medical Equine Studies under one specialization. She is a veteran of the British Royal Air Force, is a certified Stress Management Specialist, and is also the owner/founder of Equissage Texas LLC, training Equine Sports Massage Therapists.  She is the only certified Equissage Instructor in the State of Texas. Sara is a Professional Member and a Preferred Educational Provider of the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork (IAAMB), a Life Member of the International Association of Animal Massage Therapists (IAAMT), a Scholar Member of the Animals & Society Institute (ASI), an Affliliate Member of the International Society of Anthrozoology (ISAZ), and a Life Member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

Originally from Great Britain, Sara has lived with her family in the beautiful Texas Hill Country since 1997. She also works under the pen name, Sorche Berry.
